Your on a laptop? If so all the drivers should have been on recovery cd and installed. If you didn't use a recovery cd and did a reinstall from software in program menu it may not have installed all drivers but just put windows back over the top of what you had.
The only way to format properly is using cd/dvd or a extreme type of format from menu. (depending on what brand of pc you have is to what it is called)
Failing that, go to manufactures website and check for drivers.
